Fibre Optic Christmas Tree

I don’t know about you but whenever I try to decorate our Christmas tree it ends up looking a bit rough around the edges and after a week or so the branches start to strain under the weight of the tinsel and baubles. This, coupled with the shedding of needles, has led me to believe that there must be a better option.

At first I thought about a bog standard artificial tree but this doesn’t really solve the problem of my poor decorating skills so instead a friend of mine suggested I get a fibre optic Christmas tree which apparently look pretty good without any effort whatsoever.

My next step is to find one that suits my front room; it needs to look pretty contemporary and fresh which is why I am seriously considering a white tree with a red glow. Alternatively I could go for a sleek black one which is certainly that bit different and would no doubt get my friends talking when they see it.

I think a bit more research is in order to work out how long fibre optic trees last, how efficient they are and how safe they are. I am sure I am just being a bit of a worry but with money being tight I really don’t want to buy something that is going to break after a few years leaving me to fork out for another one.

I will also try and find one which has been put up in a shop to see just how it looks and feels. I will probably end up buying a tree online though since there seems to be a lot more range in colours, heights and price.

Here is to a brighter (no pun intended) Christmas.
