The Sony PS3 console is one of the leading games consoles, and Sony have just announced that they have a new model, just in time for Christmas. It is officially called the new PlayStation 3 but it will be commonly known as the PlayStation 3 Slim, or PS3 Slim.
Sony have a good track record of making their consoles slim. Cast you mind back to the PSOne, the PS2 and the PSP Slim and you will recognise that the PS3 Slim console is likely to be the number one best selling gift this christmas.
With regard to PS3 Slim specifications, it is smaller, lighter and gets a new redesign on the power supply and cooling system. The only other difference to the current PlayStation 3 is that storage increases from 80GB to 120GB, with the much speculated 160GB possibly coming in 2010.
